Sydney's Birthday Weekend!

We don't just celebrate Sydney's birthday for one day. This year we it lasted all weekend. It started on Thursday night with making her Student of the day poster that she presented in her first grade class on Friday.
Friday (her actual birthday) started bright and early at 6:30 with opening of presents. Here she is with her new American Doll Girl.

Sydeny at her dance competition at 7 am! Both her dances were done by 9 am.

It was a great weekend. I'm so grateful for Sydney and all the joy she brings into my life. She is a special sweet beautiful girl. Love you Syd!

School Music Programs

Sydney and Hunter have both had school music programs in the last few weeks. Hunter's was a lip sync. He took his Rock Band drums and played them. All the first grade classes in Sydney's school sang a bunch of songs and Sydney had speaking part in between one of the songs.

I had a great birthday! Thanks to all the birthday wishes, and for all those that made it great. We rode the Frontrunner down to Salt Lake and went to the Gateway and ate at my favorite restaurant, Tucanos Brazilian Steakhouse. It is so yummy! The kids had fun on the train and we all had an awesome time.

So it has a boat seat as the captain's chair, a gas can strapped on the side because the steering rod once broke and poke three holes in the gas tank, the mower deck doesn't raise up or down, the steering wheel will come off in your hands if your not careful, I have to jumpstart it, it turns to the right really well but not so much to the left, it backfires when I shut it off, the throttle is broke so it is stuck wide open, the choke has to be all the way on for it to run, last week the right front tirejust broke right off in the middle of mowing (that's fixed and better than new now, thanks to 2 new tires & wheels and some creative welding by a friend), BUT thru all this it still mows my lawn great in 20 minutes and not have to push a mower around for an hour or two! And the lights still work so I can mow the lawn late at night when it's cool, which the neighbors love. My Dad bought it in the early 80's and gave to me a while back. I thought it would last me a couple of years, and everytime something breaks I think "Oh it won't take much to fix that". Here it is 8 years later, holdin on for dear life! If anyone wants to take it for a ride just give me a shout, It will probably do about 7 to 8 mph on the road. lol.

Hunter's La Roca soccer team got to play on the Real Salt Lake Soccer field at half time of the Real game last night! He was SOOOOOOO excited and they all looked so tiny on that huge field! It was a fun game and and Real came back to win BUT the traffic was HORRIBLE to get out of the parking lot!
